Myrdal sugere que não.
“The isolation of one part of social reality by demarcating it as ‘economic’ is logically not feasible. In reality, there are no ‘economic’, ‘sociological’ or ‘psychological’ problems, but just problems, and they are all complex. The only concept which need not be defined and cannot be defined is economics. From that concept, inferences about reality can never be drawn.”
